One of the things I’m most excited about for Kill Your Darlings in 2014 is our revamped book club, which the KYD team is currently working away on behind the scenes. That’s all I can reveal at this stage (sorry for the tease!). Stay tuned over the coming weeks for further exciting developments.

In the meantime, KYD Social Media Coordinator Veronica Sullivan and I will be taking part in a special KYD Book Club for February’s Digital Writers’ Festival (DWF). We’ll be joined by Sydney author Luke Carman to discuss his exciting debut, An Elegant Young Man.

The book club will be live streamed on the DWF website Monday 24 February from 4pm. Come ‘Google Hangout’ with us!

Huge congratulations go to KYD’s very talented Digital Coordinator and technology columnist Connor Tomas O’Brien for putting together the fantastic DWF program, which you can check out at digitalwritersfestival.com.

You can also see our wonderful new Interviews Editor Bethanie Blanchard in conversation with Anna Spargo-Ryan in Right of Reply: Digital Writing, Trolling and Mental Health on Thursday 20 February from 3pm.

The Festival kicks off officially next Thursday – see you there!

WIN: If you’d like to take part in the DWF/KYD book club, and also go into the running to win a copy of Carman’s book, register your interest via the DWF website by Tuesday 11 February.
